Functional Enrichment

  Introduction

Functional enrichment modules currently contain two types to choose from: GO and KEGG.
Gene Ontology (GO) is an internationally standardized classification of gene function that provides a dynamically updated controlled vocabulary to comprehensively describe the properties of genes and gene products in an organism.
Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) is a collection of hand-drawn pathway maps representing molecular interaction and reaction networks. These pathways cover a wide range of biochemical processes that can be grouped into seven broad categories: metabolism, genetic and environmental information processing, cellular processes, organismal systems, human diseases, and drug development.
